I realize that a lot has already been written about what aquarism is. I also understand that some of you, especially those who are more experienced in combat, will simply skip this article because of the beginner-only information. However, my belief that novice aquarists need guidance from more experienced people confirmed my belief in the need to write this article.
First, instead of writing about how much fun an aquarium can bring, I will ask a question. A question that I consider very important. When setting up an aquarium, do you realize that you will have to devote some time to it!? If the answer is YES, then everything is in order, but if your answer is NO, then I suggest you do something else, because you must take into account that aquarium keeping is not only a pleasure, but also duties and responsibilities for the creatures living in your home. aquariums. At the same time, I assure you that if you take good care of your aquarium and the fish living in it, you will be rewarded. You will witness the birth, you will see the wonderful and breathtaking habits of your wards. You will be able to communicate with a nature so different from what has been known so far. However, in order not to bore you too much, I'll tell you a little history;)
Aquarium - a very exciting hobby, rooted in antiquity. It is assumed that the Chinese were the first breeders of ornamental fish. Of course, initially wealthier people could afford to breed such fish, but aquarium keeping became more and more popular every day, as a result of which even poorer people could enjoy the delights of this colorful underwater world. We Europeans did not have to wait long either, because in the 18th century there was a big aquarium boom in the old land. It was at this age that the first ornamental fish were brought from China. Almost the whole world has gone crazy for these beautiful goldfish. However, before it was possible to tame nature, many years of experience and sacrifice were needed, because knowledge about fish farming in the early years was very scarce. Knowledge, of course, became more complete over the years, and it was thanks to them that it was possible to start looking for other, more exotic species. Today, technology and knowledge in the field of aquarism allow us to do what until recently seemed almost impossible - marine aquariums have become a reality! One could write a lot about the origins of the aquarium hobby, but knowing life, most of you would fall asleep in 10 minutes. ;) Therefore, I propose to move on!
If you are reading these words, you are probably facing a very important decision. I dare say that you are thinking about setting up your first aquarium and are facing the dilemma of which aquarium to buy. Therefore, instead of thinking and guessing, read this article to the very end. Because I believe reading it before you buy will clear your mind ;) Seriously, I hope this helps you make a really good decision. So before you decide to buy a used aquarium and spend your hard-earned money, learn more about the so-called glue tank - probably the most popular and, in my humble opinion, the most practical at the moment. This is a glass tank, the walls of which are connected with silicone rubber, which has many advantages. Firstly, it looks beautiful, and secondly, it does not poison the water with any chemicals, and most importantly, it is VERY SAFE!
If you think that this is all, then I must disturb you, because now everything is just beginning ;-). Have you already thought about what and where to place your future aquarium? - Yes, this is another very important question, because when looking for a place, you need to take into account that 1 liter = 1 kg. therefore, when buying, for example, a 100-liter aquarium, look for a cabinet that can support at least twice as much weight, in this case 200 kg. All for safety, of course you don't want 100 liters of water on the floor! Of course, the location of the aquarium is also very important. First, it must be a very secure place with very easy access. Secondly, the aquarium should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
